The Story of Meyers Chocolates

Meyers Chocolates is family owned and operated, providing customers with the finest quality hand-crafted chocolates since 1983.. Meyers Chocolates started in the home of Donald and Agnes Meyers in the small village of Camden, located in central New York. Donald began creating his own chocolate recipes, initially to make chocolate bunnies and eggs for his grandchildren at Easter. News of Donald's chocolates spread quickly, and neighbors were eager to purchase these hand-crafted confections right out of the Meyers' home, especially during the hollidays. It seems that Meyers Chocolates was a hit from the beginning---and the rest is history!

In 1983, Donald and Agnes opened the doors to their first store in Camden, NY. In 2003, they expanded to a second store in Oneida, NY, owned by their daughter, Mary Meyers Calogero, and son-in-law, Peter Calogero.From there Peter and Mary moved their store to Clinton, NY, also located in central New York. In Clinton they operated a successful retail store for 7 years.  Unfortunately in 2012 Donald passed away suddenly. Two days before Valentines day he fell ill after dipping chocolates all day.He left this world doing what he loved. Agnes mantained the storefront in Camden until after Christmas 2016. She was turning 85 and felt it was time to retire

.Today Peter and Mary continue creating only the highest quality chocolate collections for their loyal customers and chocolate lovers everywhere in our New Hartford location.

Meyers Chocolates offer delicious assortments and confections for chocoholics across the globe! Every piece of chocolate is hand-molded and hand-dipped by our chocolatiers, Master Chocolatier Peter Calogero, Chocolatier Mary Meyers Calogero. Our gourmet chocolate collections are made with  a special blend of premium grade chocolate and only the finest selection of nuts and other ingredients to ensure the fresh rich flavor that customers have come to love---and crave!
